Dr. Chinnadurai Abdullah

Dr.Chinnadurai Abdullah, MBBS, DMRD, MD (Radio Diagnosis), Secretary, Syed Ammal Engineering College and Syed Ammal Trust Institutions, Managing Director, AR Hospital and Rasi Scan Centre and Ramnad MRI & CT Scans, Ramnathapuram, Tamil Nadu, India, has had scintillating academic and professional attainments.

A product of his venerable father, the late Dr.E.M.Abdullah’s pioneering edupreneurial harbinger, the Syed Ammal Higher Secondary School, Ramanthapuram, he excelled in his schooling as a Gold Medalist.

He continued his winning streak in his medical studies in Madurai Medical College, Madurai, where he obtained all his medical degrees with flying colours.

His selfless service to the field of medicine prepared him for a larger role at macro level as the secretary of Indian Medical Association, Ramanathapuram Branch.

His flair for holistic development of individuals moved him to officiate versatile roles in various sports associations, besides his enterprising representations in the Madurai Kamaraj University Hockey team during 1980.

His unabated zeal for much larger, wider and greater social welfare propelled him on to the ever expanding folds of Rotary in the year 1998.

The rest of his innings thereon are a history: President of Rotary Club, Ramnad during 2003-2004; Assistant Governor during 2012-2013; Chairman of Foundation Seminar held at Ramanathapuram during November 2013; held various portfolios in the Rotary Districts 3210 and 3212 during the span of last fifteen years and also his active Participation in South Asia Literacy Summit at New Delhi and Hyderabad.

Winner of many coveted awards and recognitions, Dr.Chinnadurai Abdullah has also received the Donor award from Camila Children Cancer Institute for his philanthropic works, the Best Medical and Social Service awards from Meenakshi Mission Hospital, Madurai and the Best Branch Secretary award from the state wing of IMA.

Happily married to Rtn. MPHF. Dr. Fathima Chinnadurai, he is blessed with two sparkling scions Rtn. Dr. Rasika Riyaz and Rtn. Dr. Atif Abdullah to carry forward his larger than life mission.
