Dr. K Vijayakumar Born on 17-12-1954, an alumni of Madurai Medical College, a First Rank holder in M.D. General Medicine from Madurai Kamaraj University and Post Graduate Diploma Holder in Medical Law & Ethics (P.G.D.M. L&E) from the Institute of Law & Ethics in Medicine from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore.He is now practicing at SwamiyarmadamVijayakumar Hospital, Kanyakumari District. (A multi- speciality 100 bedded Hospital) He was Elected as District Governor Nominee for the Rotary Year 2016-17, before which he was the Best Club President of R.I.Dist 3210, Past Assistant Governor for R.I.Dist 3210. and occupied many District and Club level posts.

A best District Chairman (4 times), He recieved For the Sake Honour, Outstanding Service, Meritorious Award for Polioplus from National Polioplus Office (4 times), Outstanding leadership Award, Service to Humanity Award, Vocational Excellence Award. He was Vice President of Commonwealth Medical Association from 2013 to 2016, Best State President Award from National IMA, IMA Dr. A.P. Shukla Memorial Distinguished Service Award. ( National IMA.) and Dr. Dhamodharn Award for Medical Oriented Service by an Individual.

He was National President IMA HQ 2013He was Former Tutor in Dip.NB Course for General Medicine. Dr. Jeyasekharan Medical Trust, Nagercoil for the year 1986 to 1990. and Visiting Reader in Medicine Raja Muthiah Medical College - Annamalai University. He is happily married to Dr. Navakumari. M.S. (a surgeon) and blessed with two sons. He has travelled extensively and visited many countries.
